Origami
The Art of Connection
Kyoko Kimura Morgan is best known for her work in origami, which she grew up doing in Japan, as naturally and instinctively as colouring in. Today, she shares it as a way to connect people across cultures.
Origami as Participatory Art
For Kyoko, origami is participatory art: accessible, visual, and hands-on. It creates space for dialogue, learning, and shared joy. A single sheet of paper becomes a tool for creativity, connection, and peace.
Kyoko's approach goes beyond simply folding together — origami becomes a language of its own. It breaks down barriers and invites conversation and mutual understanding, without the need for words.
In just five to ten minutes, someone can fold a simple form, see it take shape, and feel a sense of pride. That small act opens the door to trust, communication, and belonging.
